1. Who we are

PEIL is a trade name of iBridge, the company of Max Hermans, registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 75968851. The full particulars, including what is still missing, are in the colophon. Contact runs through info@peil.nu.

2. What these terms apply to

To the use of peil.nu, peilje.nl and the app PEIL Amsterdam, and to everything PEIL sells there. If a page itself says something different about a specific product, what that page says prevails.

Paid features are not live yet. As long as that is so, the articles on payment and withdrawal apply as an announcement of what will apply, not as a running agreement.

3. What PEIL delivers

Measurements and registers from government and monitoring networks, gathered and explained, with the source, the date and the limit next to every value. Where we derive something ourselves it carries the label "berekend" (computed) or "inschatting van Peil" (PEIL's estimate). What we do not know is called "onbekend" (unknown) and is not filled in.

4. What PEIL is not and does not promise

• PEIL is not a government service, not a valuer, not an estate agent and not an adviser. What you read here is not advice, and it is not financial or structural advice either.
• The app PEIL Amsterdam is not a navigation aid and may not be used as one. Bridges, clearances and rules can differ from what you see on your screen; on the water you remain responsible yourself.
• PEIL estimates no energy label and names no property value.
• Sources can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. We give the source and the date so you can weigh that yourself, and we do not vouch for the correctness of the source.
• We are not liable for damage arising because you take a decision on the basis of this information without consulting an expert. Where the law does not allow that limitation it does not apply; liability is then limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned.
• If we refer to another party (an adviser, a register, a supplier), that is a reference and not a recommendation, and we are no party to what you agree with them.

5. Prices and payment

Prices on the site are in euros and include 21% VAT. Stripe processes the payment; PEIL does not process your full card or bank credentials itself, but does receive payment status and the data needed for the order and its records. Which payment methods are open is stated with the product itself once something is for sale.

6. Digital content and withdrawal

A paid PEIL document, such as the Pand report, is digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. You receive such content immediately after payment.

The statutory exception to the right of withdrawal applies to it: if, when ordering, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, you cannot cancel the order afterwards. Once something is for sale we ask for that consent explicitly on the order screen and repeat it in the confirmation, so you have seen it before you pay. If you do not consent you cannot order; no money is taken either.

If the delivered document does not work, or something is not as we promised, that is not a withdrawal but a defect: report it via info@peil.nu and we fix it or refund.

7. Bottles: different rules

For the champagne PEIL sells the ordinary rules for goods apply, so there is a 14-day cooling-off period. How that works, including the model form, is on peil.nu/champagne/herroepen. We sell no alcohol to persons under 18 and check age at handover.

8. Complaints and disputes

Complaints go to info@peil.nu; we respond within 14 days. If we cannot work it out together, Dutch law applies and the court of Amsterdam has jurisdiction, unless the law designates another court.

9. Changes

We may amend these terms. At the bottom of every page is the date of the last publication, and at the top of this page when the text was last revised. For a running order the version that applied at the moment of ordering holds.
